My First Full weekend in good old Argie!!

on 1st August, we all went to the building site to start work on the 2nd church. Jo, Andy and Zoe stayed behind on domestic duty, while Zach, Tom and I took turns in translating got the others. the first job we did was to move a pile of bricks from 1 corner to the corner by forming a human chain, when we finished, some of us shifted dirt onto the centre of the floor. next all of us were shown how to make cement by Pastor Samuel, while Louise, Kim and i had a great fun demolishing part of the top wall!!
despite me being scared of heights, i offered to sit on the ledgewhich was really high and the ledge was about 4 inches thick, gulp..!!! while Louise was doing the same (demolishing!!) on the ladder with Kim holding the ladder. Ali, Tom and John were chipping aaway on the concrete floor, while Obioma, Beth and Rachel were separating or dismantling the wooden support beams. Charlotte & Zach were chipping away on the concrete wall to make space for the electrical wires.
Louise & Tom were shown the fine art of brick laying and i tell u Louise was really good at it!! after lunch we all began to make preparations for young people´s meeting in the evening and for our devotional times. Tom, Charlotte & Rachel prepared music, Zach the sermon & devotional reading, Beth helped me with my testimony for both services.
i will write the second half of this report if i have time!!
